We have developed a fast and optimized algorithm to perform real-time motion detection system for video surveillance.
Code has been highly optimized for Raspberry PI hardware. The proposed algorithm can be used with a low-cost webcam since it is extremely robust
to random noise and image defects. Code does not require any particular webcam, it is only necessary that hardware is supported by Raspberry PI.
When motion is detected an alert message can be visualized on video or also an email can be sent to the specified address.
Technical details
Frame processing time: About 1.2 seconds
Required hardware: Raspberry PI, supported webcam, 4GB SD card, micro usb power supply (5V, at least 1A is necessary)
Additional hardware: Ethernet cable or supported WiFi USB dongle, RCA cable.
Software output: Display on video of alert messages and email alert system.
Terms and conditions: Source code can be installed and run only on one device. If you need to install code on more devices please contact us.

language (.PY files), with no dll or other
protected parts of code (executables). The code was
developed with Python 2.7. The code provided has to be considered "as is" and it is without any kind of warranty. The
